About the exam
What you are preparing for, how the questions work, and how each one is checked before you see it.
- The Examination
- The External Pharmacist Examination is the paper you sit as an apprentice pharmacist in Sri Lanka on the way to registration. Every practice exam here is built for that paper and that format.
- The format we practise
- True/False MCQs: each question sets out a stem, sometimes with a short clinical case, and five statements, A to E. You mark every statement True or False on its own, so one question asks for five separate judgements rather than a single choice.
- How it is marked
- Every statement carries one mark, and a wrong mark cancels a correct one, so four right and one wrong scores three. No question falls below zero, and a statement you leave blank neither earns nor costs anything — which makes a blank safer than a guess.
- The question bank
- Ten past-paper-style pharmacology questions make up the preview on this page. The first full practice exam draws on a larger bank in the same format, with more subjects to follow.
How questions are checked
- Every question and explanation is reviewed by a pharmacist before it goes into a full practice exam. The sample questions on this page preview the format ahead of that review.
- Answer keys are our own. They are not an official marking scheme, and we say so wherever a score is shown.
- Spot an error? Email hello@rxmastery.lk with the question and we will check it and correct the bank.
